HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!. We are very proud of our students taking the 10th board exams this year. This the first batch of students that started Kindergarten at our school. This year we have had sponsors for 60 of our students. Other than the regular academic curriculum, we have been very busy with many educational and fun field trips.

On September 12, 2011, our 10th standard students were taken to a Post Office & a Bank [Bank of Maharashtra ] as their field trip. It was a 3 hour trip. The working of the bank & Post office was explained to them in detail. This was part of their career project, as it would expose them to the job opportunities that they could take on i future.

Our younger students, standard 2 to 7, were taken to a field trip to the Monginis Factory [ manufacturing cakes and savories ] on October 10th. Mr.Keshav Kotian ,the manager was kind enough to give permission for our visit.
The students were taken in a bus at 9 am and watched a video of the factory in work. They were then asked to wash their hands & were given caps,gloves & apron to wear before they entered the inside of the factory. They were given a detailed demonstrations of making the dough to baking & decorating ,. The children were thrilled to see their favorite cartoon characters shaped into cakes & pastries.They also came to understand how difficult it was to make these goodies.

We also combined an educational trip & pleasure trip by taking 48 of our school children from Standard 4 to Standard 10 to SAVE Farms at Dahanu. This Farm resort is part of Agro Tourism and is the brainchild of Mr.Prabhakar Save. Several educational activities like basket weaving, grafting &planting of trees, fishing were demonstrated. The children made small baskets, thatches for roofs & brought it home. The children also had fun on a Zip Line in the farm. The children were given nutritious breakfast & a scrumptious lunch & tea &snacks.
