For the academic year June ’23- May ’24, we have a total enrollment is 112 students. We were expecting more of our older students to return from the villages, but this has been slow due to rise in costs in the city. We did have quite a few newly enrolled students.

The talks for re-development of the building is underway. We plan to buy a second room for the school to continue functioning as it is now. We are raising funds for this with the help of corporate companies, our supporters, sponsors and the public.

On September 5th, 2023, we celebrated  teachers day  with creative games and sports. After first term exams on 1st week of November, Diwali celebrations were held before the ten day Diwali vacation.

On November 14th we celebrated children’s day. Our sponsors, Innerwheel distributed snacks and gifts to our students and teachers in appreciation of their work.

On January 22,  we had a themed competition called ‘Proudly Indian’ where students took part in drawing and painting competitions. Republic day celebrations on the 26th included Flag Hoisting, patriotic dances, snack distribution.

On February 5th, we took our students to watch an inspirational movie called ’12th Fail’ based on a real life story. The students wrote an essay on what they learnt from watching the movie.

Our picnic on February 17th to ‘SAVE’ farms was attended by 30 students and 4 teachers. We took a bus from Mumbai to Dahnu . The children learnt about  Warli Tribal art, plant grafting, water conservation, and fisheries. This event was fully sponsored by our supporters Sudhindra and Upasana Rao, Anu Nichani, Jayshree Rao, Indu Bhatia and Madhuri Bhatia. The students brought back small pots they had painted with the tribal art.

On behalf of all students, teachers and trustees we express our heartfelt gratitude for helping further our cause of education for the underprivileged. The school has been able to make a huge difference in the lives of the underprivileged and brought about a positive change in the lives of students and teachers. We hope you will renew the sponsorship for your student in the coming year.
